"Transformational Energy Work...
creating space where change can occur."
Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu® (pronounced “jit-su”) is a gentle touch therapy firmly rooted in ancient healing traditions. Jin Shin Jyutsu uses hands-on sequences (called flows) to help facilitate physical, mental and emotional harmony within the body. Instead of focusing solely on presenting symptoms, Jin Shin Jyutsu helps release stuck energies which are at the root of health projects.
Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) has twenty-six Safety Energy Locks. These SELs form the foundation of JSJ. Located along meridians where life-energy or Ki flows, the SELs work like the body’s circuit breakers. Problems occur when one or more meridian has too much current or the current is blocked. The resulting overflow or stagnation of energy can cause health issues that worsen over time. Holding a sequence of SELs resets and balances the flow of energy throughout the body.
JSJ has several research studies validating its ability to:
* Reduce stress, anxiety and headaches
* Boost the immune system
* Improve circulation and breathing
* Aid digestive issues
* Ease back pain, spasms and cramps
* Jumpstart creativity
* Promote better sleep
JSJ offers a viable alternative for people who are unable or disinclined to use massage. During sessions, the client lies fully clothed on a massage table. JSJ does not involve pressure or manipulation of muscles, both of which are contraindicated for some health conditions. Typically, a JSJ session lasts one hour, but it can vary depending of the presenting issues.
Following a session, the practitioner teaches simple self-help. These techniques prolong the effectiveness of treatments, provide ongoing help with symptoms and empower clients to take an active role in improving their own health.
JSJ works as an excellent adjunct to other therapies or medications for people of all ages and states of health. It also helps mitigate the impact of acute and chronic conditions.
The video was created by The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky to help demonstrate the power of JSJ. In this video oncology doctors and patients talk about their experiences with JSJ. Their comments and personal experiences demonstrate the effectiveness of JSJ.
