How does Jin Shin Jyutsu differ

from other healing modalities?

Jin Shin Jyutsu has similarities with other energy modalities such as Reiki and acupuncture and it has unique aspects. Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art, as opposed to a technique. Instead of using a strict formula for helping release energetic blockages, each practitioner applies the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu in their own distinctive way.

Second, Jin Shin Jyutsu is a highly subtle healing modality that involves no manipulation of muscles or tissue. Using only minimal pressure, it is powerful enough to redirect or unblock the flow of energy along its pathways.

Jin Shin Jyutsu allows the practitioner and client to co-create a healing plan that fits the individual's needs and wants.

Jin Shin Jyutsu offers the opportunity to receive a treatment from a distance where the practitioner and client can be a few feet or thousands of miles.

The self help component in Jin Shin Jyutsu gives clients an opportunity to learn techniques they can do at home.

Remote/Distant healing

Distant healing means there is a distance between the giver and the receiver of a Jin Shin Jyutsu session. The physical separation between the practitioner and client can be a few feet or thousands of miles.

The entire universe is created out of energy and vibrations. Whether it is through light, heat, radio signals and sound, our daily lives are constantly being affected by the vibrations that surround us.

The vibration of our bodies at the physical and non-physical level has a profound influence on our health. Weakened or destabilized vibrations can contribute to illnesses and more serious medical issues. Jin Shin Jyutsu helps harmonize our internal vibrations and positively affects on our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The vibrational frequency of Jin Shin Jyutsu’s 26 safety energy centers makes it possible to receive the healing benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu from across a room, in another state or a different country.

What to expect:

During a remote Jin Shin Jyutsu session, I work from my office, and you relax at home or the location of your choice. It is best to find a quiet place to enjoy and soak up the healing energies. Each session begins with a phone conversation where we talk about the areas/issues you would like to address during the session. Then we stay connected via the phone during the session. That way, if you have any questions or comments during the session, you can voice them as they arise.

Remote healing sessions work on the same energy level as hands-on healing. Just like in hands-on sessions, you may feel the movement of subtle energies during and after a session. Because energy medicine does not require the practitioner and receiver to be in the same building, state or country, these sessions are as effective as hands-on sessions. Each session includes self-help suggestions, to keep the energy moving, and allow you to be a co-creator of your healing experience.

I have been practicing remote Jin Shin Jyutsu for 15 years, working with clients across the U.S. and around the world. My sliding scale is $60 - $80. You choose what you are comfortable paying. Payments can be made via check or Paypal.

Feedback from remote/distant healing clients:

  • It is so convenient. I just call Colleen at our set appointment time and we get started. I don’t need to get dressed or drive anywhere.

  • My travel time to Colleen’s office is substantial, so I prefer remote sessions. Now I can rest after the treatment is over, instead of commuting home.

  • I can feel the warmth of Colleen’s hands, even though we are in different locations.

  • Remote sessions allow me to meditate for a few minutes after a session and before I begin any other activities. It feels like that resting time allows the healing energy to sink in.

  • Avoiding the stress of driving after a session is a big plus for me.

  • I am currently in self-isolation due to exposure to the coronavirus. These treatments offer me the perfect way to get the care I need.

  • I feel the same state of inner quietness that I experience during hands-on sessions at Colleen’s office.

  • After remote sessions I usually take a short nap. When I get up, it feels like my whole body has been reset.
